TSR Spring Thaw 2015 race results

April 1, 2015 TOMAH, WI - It was a wild race event as early bird drivers and fans flocked to the track for some spring racing action. About 30 cars from all classes offered at TSR showed up to shake the cobwebs out of their engines.  The field was comprised of mostly new drivers to the Tomah Sparta Raceway.

Drivers took to the track and quickly learned that TSR is a driver’s track. “Turn 3 will sneak up on you if you ain’t paying attention!” explains Sportsman rookie driver Cal Noughton Jr.

In all, it was a great night of racing with the exception of the Street Stock feature which added an extra edge of excitement to the night. With 5 of the 25 laps complete an unexpected entrant flew on to the track. The #1 Hornet car driven by Buck Bretherton chased down the field of 7 Street Stocks and began weaving through traffic until he was on the tail of the #1 Street Stock car of Reese Bobby. Bretherton wowed the crowd with a perfect PIT (Precision Immobilization Technique) maneuver down the front stretch leaving Bobby standing still in victory lane. Those in the crowd said they could hear Bretherton scream. “That was my number first!”

Those at TSR Spring Thaw 2015 had a great time. For those drivers and fans that were not able to make it, we at TSR hope you have a great April Fool’s Day!!!
